Dean serves as Cole Sadkin’s Senior Litigation Counsel. He has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 1999. Dean’s practice focuses around complex commercial
litigation matters. In particular, Dean has extensive experience handling construction related disputes, including mechanic’s lien foreclosure matters and construction defect and disclosure actions. Additionally, Dean’s practice focuses on partnership disputes; defamation and privacy torts; and actions involving actions involving alternative dispute resolution. Dean’s practice also includes the representation of various municipalities in the Chicagoland area, including the Village of Inverness. His professional philosophy is one of being accessible and responsive to his clients, colleagues, and peers.
Dean is a seasoned litigator. For over 25 years, he has distinguished himself in numerous mediations, arbitrations, and trials. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dean is committed to the legal profession and its continuing legal education programs. He has spoken at legal seminars, including presentations for Lorman Education Services, National Bond Claims Association, Defense Research Institute, and Chicago Surety Claims Association. Dean further promotes the legal profession by serving as a professional mentor to local law students and elementary students –participating as a judge in the Annual Chicago Public School’s Intra-City Mock Trial Competition.
On a personal level, Dean has been a professional nature and wildlife photographer since the early 2000’s. In his free time, he leads photographic expeditions worldwide through his company Southern Cross Galleries Photo Safaris. Dean’s travels have taken him across all seven continents multiple times.
