Judith Kott joined Cole Sadkin, LLC as senior counsel in 2025, bringing 22 years of litigation experience in both state and federal courts. She received her Juris Doctoratefrom the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, her Master of Arts degree in political science from Illinois State University, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Monterey Institute of International Studies. Throughout her legal career, Judith has represented clients in the areas of commercial litigation, constitutional law, personal injury, employment law, zoning and building litigation, and estate litigation. Judith also was appointed class counsel and assisted in the representation of former public-school students in a First Amendment constitutional law case, that resulted in a class action settlement, as well as settlements in two related cases. As a litigator for many years, she has experience in handling trials, pretrial settlement conferences, mediations and arbitrations. Her professional philosophy is to communicate clearly and be a strong advocate for clients in their cases.

Judith also has teaching experience and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching an online contracts class. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Kott served as an adjunct instructor at several community colleges and taught state and local government and history classes. Judith also has served as a volunteer in different capacities over the years. Examples include participating in serving events such as providing cards of hope for Phil’s Friends (an organization committed to providing support for individuals battling cancer), and organizing a Freedom Walk for Destiny Rescue (an organization committed to battling sex trafficking).
