James joined Cole Sadkin as a Senior Litigation Counsel having practiced law for over twenty years and has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 1999. James seeks to use his legal acumen and training to help his clients resolve their legal issues efficiently and promptly.

James’ practice involves general commercial, employment, partnership disputes, construction related, and mechanics lien litigation. He has practiced for many years in and performed trials in Illinois chancery, law, municipal, and federal courts as well as participated in mediations and arbitrations.

He is a graduate of the IIT- Chicago Kent College of Law and has an undergraduate, professional five year, Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, which included a year of architectural study abroad in Versailles, France with the University of Illinois.

Prior to practicing law, James practiced in architecture and construction for over ten years, and is an Illinois licensed architect. His background includes contract and project management experience building 39 storey skyscrapers,commercial office towers, and project engineering/ design experience on hospitals, educational and banking facilities.

In his free time, James enjoys hiking, fishing, reading, and traveling to places he has read about.
